<image:caption>Your Brain At Work - Strategies for Overcoming Distraction, Regaining Focus, and Working Smarter All Day Long by David Rock A psychologist who spent years researching what he calls spiritual intelligence, builds the case that the most effective leaders aren't the ones with the sharpest strategy, they're the ones leading from a deep, personally-felt connection to something greater than themselves. He backs the idea with real research rather than vague inspiration, breaking spiritual intelligence down into dimensions leaders can actually develop rather than just admire from a distance. Looks like a strong read for anyone who's tired of leadership books that talk about purpose without ever asking where a leader's own inspiration is supposed to come from. <image:caption>Life Changing Conversations with Rapid Resolution Therapy by Dr. Jon Connelly Connelly, the developer of Rapid Resolution Therapy, works from a premise I find myself leaning on more and more: a single well-placed conversation can undo in minutes what years of talk therapy sometimes can't touch. His approach skips the slow excavation of a problem and goes straight for shifting how the mind is holding it. I’m adding this to my stack to sharpen how I move clients toward resolution faster, without losing the depth of the work. To Be Reviewed by Cara Ugolini</image:caption>

<image:caption>Hold Me Tight: Seven Conversations for a Lifetime of Love by Dr. Sue Johnson Johnson built Emotionally Focused Therapy around a simple truth: most relationship conflict isn't really about the dishes or the schedule, it's a cry for connection that's gotten lost in translation. The book walks through seven conversations designed to help couples find each other underneath the fighting and reach for secure attachment instead. Adding this to my stack since attachment shows up in nearly every client conversation I have, whether the work is about a marriage or not. I’m looking forward to diving in. <image:caption>The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment by Eckhart Tolle Almost all of our suffering lives in the mind's grip on the past or the future, and the present moment is the only place we actually have access to peace. Tolle draws a sharp line between the person you think you are, the running narrator in your head, and the deeper awareness underneath it that's actually capable of stillness. This is one of the five star reads on my shelf, the kind of book that doesn't just inform you, it interrupts you, in the best way. Reviewed by Cara Ugolini</image:caption>

<image:title>Bookshelf - The Wisdom of Menopause - BOOK REVIEW</image:title>
<image:caption>The Wisdom of Menopause by Dr. Christine Northrup Dr. Christiane Northrup Northrup reframes menopause as far more than a set of symptoms to manage, she calls it a genuine mind-body revolution, one of the biggest developmental thresholds a woman crosses after adolescence. What I appreciate most is her insistence that the irritability, the shifting priorities, the sudden lack of patience for things you used to tolerate, aren't malfunctions, they're your body finally refusing to stay quiet about what no longer fits your life. It promises to be a grounding read for any woman who's been told to medicate her way through this season instead of listening to what it's trying to tell her. <image:title>Bookshelf - Manifest Your Destiny - BOOK REVIEW</image:title>
<image:caption>Manifest Your Destiny by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer Dyer lays out nine principles for aligning your inner life with what you actually want, built on the idea that we are not separate from the source that created us, we are meant to move in partnership with it. I don't always land where Dyer lands theologically, but the discipline underneath the book, quieting the ego, releasing attachment to outcomes, receiving rather than grasping, maps closely onto what I'd call surrender in a faith context. Worth reading for the practices themselves, even if you translate the language into your own framework as you go. The description of prayer is one of the best I’ve come across in the context of manifestation. Reviewed by Cara Ugolini</image:caption>

<image:title>Bookshelf - The God Shaped Brain - BOOK REVIEW</image:title>
<image:caption>The God Shaped Brain by Dr. Timothy R. Jennings Jennings, a psychiatrist, makes a case that sits right at the center of my own work: the way you picture God, whether as loving or punitive, literally shapes your neural pathways and your capacity for health. He shows how a fear-based image of God activates the same threat circuitry as any other trauma response, while a secure, loving image opens up the parts of the brain built for connection and growth. I recommend this to clients whose theology and their nervous system have been quietly working against each other, often without them realizing it. Hold the theology lightly and you will enjoy this read! Reviewed by Cara Ugolini</image:caption>

<image:title>Bookshelf - The Surrender Experiment - BOOK REVIEW</image:title>
<image:caption>The Surrender Experiment by Michael A. Singer Singer tells his own story, from a young man chasing inner stillness in a trailer in the woods to the founder of a billion-dollar company, all built on one simple commitment: saying yes to what life puts in front of him instead of fighting for what he thinks he wants. Surrender here doesn't mean passivity; it means releasing the grip of the inner voice long enough to let something larger than your own agenda lead. I recommend this to clients who are white-knuckling their way through a season of change. The point gets diluted by personal stories, but I deeply appreciated his lived experience. <image:title>Bookshelf - Necessary Endings - BOOK REVIEW</image:title>
<image:caption>Necessary Endings by Henry Cloud Cloud makes the case that some things have to end well before something new can begin, and that avoiding those endings usually costs more than the ending itself would have. It's a book about pruning — in relationships, in business, in the parts of ourselves we've outgrown. <image:title>Bookshelf - Spiritual Entrepreneurship - BOOK REVIEW</image:title>
<image:caption>Spiritual Entrepreneurship by Sheri Smith Sheri writes with the kind of honesty most business books avoid, letting the reader see what it actually feels like to build something while your spiritual growth and your P&L are tangled together in real time. Her definition of a spiritual entrepreneur — someone building to expand love rather than extract gain — has stayed with me. A meaningful read for anyone trying to build a business without leaving their soul at the door. Contains excellent book recommendations of her own. Reviewed by Cara Ugolini</image:caption>

<image:title>Bookshelf - Living Fearless - BOOK REVIEW</image:title>
<image:caption>Living Fearless by Jamie Winship Winship spent decades in some of the world's most dangerous conflict zones and came back with a simple, hard truth: our fear is almost always rooted in a false view of God, ourselves, or others. This book is a good companion for clients doing identity work who want the faith dimension named directly rather than left implicit. Honest, and unusually courageous in its own storytelling. For the spiritually minded, this is a must-read. Reviewed by Cara Ugolini</image:caption>

<image:caption>The Deepest Well by Dr Nadine Burke Harris Burke Harris writes from the exam room, not the lecture hall, and that's what gives this book its weight. She lays out, with real clinical evidence, how childhood adversity gets stored in the body and shows up decades later as physical illness. Essential reading if you want the medical case for why we cannot separate the story of someone's childhood from the state of their health today. While it paints a striking picture of the problem in healthcare today, Harris falls short of offering sustainable solutions, but I appreciate the leadership she has taken in getting the conversation started. <image:caption>What Got You Here Won't Get You There by Marshall Goldsmith Goldsmith's insight is one I use constantly with high-performing clients: the very habits that built your success are often the exact ones now standing in your way. It's a sharp, no-nonsense read for executives and leaders who are good at almost everything except seeing their own blind spots. I recommend it especially to clients who are further along in their careers than in their self-awareness. There is a version for female working professionals which I also highly recommend. <image:caption>You Are the Placebo by Joe Dispenza Dispenza's core question is whether we can create the same measurable healing the placebo effect produces, on purpose, without the sugar pill. He backs it with case studies and a clear walk through the neuroscience of thought becoming feeling becoming state. This one tends to open something in clients who have quietly believed change requires an external fix. It lacks the rigorous scientific backing that some of my other recommendations offer, but I still think it is worth the read and is highly stimulating from a metaphysical perspective. <image:caption>Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton Lipton, a cell biologist, makes the case that our beliefs are actively shaping our biology at the cellular level, not just our mood. It reframes belief from a soft, abstract idea into something with real physiological weight. I come back to this one whenever a client needs the science to catch up with what their body has already been telling them. The field of research has become more nuanced since this book came out, but I still appreciate it as a solid framework. Reviewed by Cara Ugolini</image:caption>

<image:caption>When the Body Says No by Dr Gabor Maté Maté's central argument still stops people in their tracks: chronic illness and chronic self-suppression are far more connected than most of us have been taught to believe. <image:caption>Switch on Your Brain by Dr. Caroline Leaf Leaf makes a compelling case that we are not passive passengers in our own thought life; we have real authority to direct our thinking and reshape our brain in the process. <image:caption>MindWorks by Gary van Warmerdam Van Warmerdam takes apart the belief systems we built as children to survive and shows exactly how they keep manufacturing the same emotional drama in adulthood. <image:caption>The 5 Personality Patterns by Steven Kessler This is one of the clearest maps I've found for what a survival strategy actually looks like once it hardens into personality. Kessler shows how each pattern formed to keep a child safe, and how that same strategy quietly runs the show decades later in relationships, work, and self-image. I hand this to clients who are ready to stop asking "what's wrong with me" and start asking "what was this protecting?" This book comes highly recommended and I look forward to diving in. <image:caption>The Body Teaches the Soul by Justin Whitmel Earley Earley writes as a recovering anxious overachiever, not a health guru, and that's what makes this one land. His premise is simple and important: the habits of your body are not separate from your spiritual life, they are the on-ramp to it. I recommend this to clients who have spent years treating their body as an inconvenience to their calling instead of the ground it stands on. From the Judeo-Christian perspective this is a great foundational start for those who question the relevance of the mind-body-spirit connection. Reviewed by Cara Ugolini</image:caption>

<image:caption>Waking the Tiger by Peter A. Levine Levine, the founder of Somatic Experiencing, makes the case that trauma is not something we think our way out of; it's something the body has to move through and complete. He looks to how animals in the wild discharge threat and reset almost immediately, and asks why humans so often get stuck mid-process instead. This is a foundational read for anyone doing somatic work, and it gave language to things I had sensed in sessions long before I had the framework for them. Reviewed by Cara Ugolini</image:caption>
